PROGRAM DESCRIPTION
It has been a long-held dream of Alice Toyonaga to host a yoga retreat on one of the Gulf Islands of British Columbia because of its natural beauty and magic. Again and again, the rainy season has brought her back to the most introspective version of herself, reminding her how to soften, restore, and listen.
Nestled in Howe Sound, a fjord northwest of Vancouver, Bowen Island is where she hopes to share the rhythms of the fog and the firs with you. This is a retreat led by nature, to explore your edges in challenge and movement, in stillness and rest, so that you can return to our own steady rhythms. Among coastal rain, ancient trees, and the grey hush of the Pacific Northwest, the world feels closer, slower, and more alive. This retreat is a place for thoughtful humans living full lives to pause, restore, and resource. A return to yourself, and remembering how.
In your spirit, you'll leave with the imprint of the forest, the rhythm of the rain, and the clarity that comes when fog lifts.
In your body, the reset that comes from moving between stillness and edge. In your heart, a deeper connection to yourself.
In your hands, simple nervous system rituals—breathwork, meditation, movement, and journaling—that fit into real life when you need a reminder of how to return to your rhythm.
