Sustainability at Nectar on Bowen

The biggest step forward comes from leaving the smallest footprint. Rooted on unceded Coast Salish territory of the Squamish Nation, we hold a heartfelt commitment to stewarding the forests and waterways around us. Every gathering contributes to the sustainable sanctuary we’re cultivating on 20 acres of largely untouched Bowen Island land.

Guests and writers have often compared us with eco hotels and sustainable hotels for our low-impact design and everyday practices. Our care extends to the small details: natural cleaning products, biodegradable soaps and shampoos, refillable containers, and thoughtful recycling of every piece of packaging.

We also source local, seasonal produce whenever possible, bringing Bowen Island’s own soil and harvest into our meals.

If sustainability matters to you too, you’ll feel at home at Nectar.
