The sequences provide a foundation from which you can build your own personal practice, honoring your unique body, mind, and experiences. This workshop is open to all levels from beginners to advanced practitioners.
Day Retreat Schedule
1:00 – 2:15 PM | Sun Salutations + The Daily Ritual
Begin with Surya Namaskar A & B to warm up the body, awaken the breath, and move the spine in multiple directions.
Learn how starting your practice the same way each day provides a baseline for inner reflection, helping you observe shifts in energy, strength, and focus.
2:15 – 3:30 PM | Basic Standing Asanas
Practice 11 foundational standing postures, including:

Utthita Parsvakonasana & Parivrtta Parsvakonasana
Prasarita Padottanasana A–D

About Tina
Tina Pashumati James, a former mountaineer and marathoner, dedicated eight years to Whistler ski patrol and bear protection initiatives. For two decades, she fostered a yoga community at Loka Yoga, emphasizing Bhakti teachings. Passionate about aiding cancer survivors and mental health, she practices Ahimsa and advocates for plant-based living. An authorized Senior Ashtanga and Jivamukti teacher, Tina integrates eco-consciousness into her teachings, offering transformative programs in India and mentoring initiatives. She conducts wedding ceremonies and promotes environmental and animal rights causes.
