Andrea Clark

Co-creatrix of Nectar Retreat Centre and Mist Thermal Sanctuary

Andrea Clark (she/her) is a functional somatic movement teacher and the co-creatrix of Nectar Retreat Centre and Mist Thermal Healing. She discovered early in her life that nature and solitude are her most potent healers. With ancestry from the Scotland, Ireland, and Scandinavia, Andrea was born and raised in close to the Rocky Mountains in Canada.

Andrea’s journey, weaving through the realms of fine arts, design, movement exploration, and with an inherent gift for architecture, led her from the corporate world into the heart of yoga and spiritual exploration. Immersing herself in the teachings of revered artists and mentors, Andrea's extensive travels—from India to St Lucia to Hawaii and beyond—shaped her holistic approach to well-being. Her studies encompassed traditionally rooted yoga, meditation, ayurveda, and functional movement, culminating in her role as a global retreat leader.

Witnessing the healing impacts of sound healing, Andrea's movement classes highlight the essence of vibration and energy. These sessions integrate the wisdom of Nada yoga, the devotion of Bhakti yoga, the introspection of Yin Yoga, and the precision of Pilates, crafting a sensory-rich and multidisciplinary practice. Coupled with esoteric practices, including magic and divination, Andrea considers herself a hedgewitch.

In 2014, with her partner, Satjeet Pandher, Nectar was born—a space for conscious retreats that quickly evolved into a wellness getaway on the ancestral territory of Nexwlélexwm (Bowen Island). Andrea has blended her natural talent in design and architecture with movement, yogic wisdom, and sound to create a space that supports the awareness of consciousness for all that visit Nectar.

Beyond her professional endeavors, Andrea's daily life revolves around embracing simple joys, including swimming, cold dipping, traditional foods, and savoring precious moments with Satjeet and their dogs, Forest and Fern.
